As one of 5 children, the son of immigrant parents from Sicily, Italy Roberto Punzo grew up in a house inspired by Authentic Southern Italian Cuisine. His father was a bread maker, his mother the central figure in a large extended family that gathered together every Sunday for a huge lunch that often continued into dinner. This allowed family and extended family to catch up and stay connected every gathering centered on food. Much of what Rob prepares today is inspired by his roots. Adele still comes over every late summer to prepare the sauce.Why does Rob do what he does? Because of his passion and complete love of food. He now has a family that is deeply inspired by the food of all types and mealtime is a central time to connect eat and enjoy in his household.
